Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)

Sarah Conner is back and the world faces a new fate.

I’m a Terminator apologist who thinks 3 is quite good, I like Genesis just fine and Salvation is not good...and this new one is quite good! There are parallels to the 2018 Halloween that I certainly wasn’t expecting. Mackenzie Davis is excellent, Arnold is right in his lane and this is a welcome Hollywood debut for Natalia Reyes, who is definitely worth keeping an eye out for.

SPOILERS

There's definitely a parallel here to last years Halloween sequel that's worth keeping in mind, with both Sarah Connor and Laurie Strode dealing with their own demons and being brought in for what's essentially one last score. (It certainly doesn't hurt that both Hamilton and Curtis are damn fine actors who can bring the pain of their characters.)

★★★★

2019 - Directed by Tim Miller, written by Billy Ray, David S. Goyer and Justin Rhodes
