Justice League (2017)

The team assembles and it's not quite as super as it could be.

You know what? It's fine. This is an improvement over the dour mess that was Batman Vs. Superman, to be sure. It's still not quite what I might call especially good, but it's a pretty solid movie. You get a gathering of the team, a new villain that I didn't particularly care about but is a decent threat and a good amount of action scenes actually outside in the daytime, so already an improvement over BVS.  It's biggest failing is in adding three new major cast members you really have to breeze past a lot of backstory and character development (and there is one plot point at the end that the movie just completely barrels past with zero "now how the hell is THAT supposed to work?) Overall, perfectly decent, I like the cast and it's maybe worth checking out after Lady Bird, Thor and you've run out of DVDs from the library.

★★★☆☆
