Possessor (2020)

Welcome to the party, Brandon Cronenberg. 

Raw and unsparing and unsettling, this is a damn fine third film for him, continuing some of the themes of his father's work of biotech gone horribly wrong but giving it his own touch and feeling, anchored by two simply fantastic performances from Andrea RIseborough as a corporate assassin who takes over people's bodies and makes them perform horrible acts to destabilize their companies and Christopher Abbott as one of her subjects who she can't quite control. I hesitate to say more because that would spoil the surprise of this taut, disgusting movie but it's totally worth your time here in Spooktober.
