The rare horror anthology where not only are the segments consistent, they're also consistently good and in a few cases downright great. (There's a moment in an elevator that I'm going to be thinking about for a while, a horrifically beautiful moment that is straight-up lovely and terrifying.) There's very welcome appearances from people I've seen in other things, like Jacob Elordi and Sarah Hay and at least three people who I want to see more of them in the future (especially Christine Kilmer, Ema Horvath and Caitlin Custer, all of whom are delivering real good work here). This movie is a damn pleasant surprise and I'm looking forward to what writer/director Ryan Spindell does next.
And, let's be clear, Clancy Brown as a Cryptkeeper-esque mortician is simply sublime.
